Eucalyptus Pumpkin Place Cards

Oh, friends, I have such a pretty DIY Thanksgiving project for you today! And believe it or not, these Eucalyptus Pumpkin Place Cards got their start right in my local grocery store!

Hi! If we haven’t met yet, I’m Keri and I am the girl behind the blog over at Shaken Together, where I share easy recipes and simple crafts! I am the mom of two boys (13 & 15), wife of 15 years, creative crafter and home cook. And this is my favorite time of year!

Now, we don’t set a super fancy Thanksgiving table. In fact, we are a pretty laid back family. So, a pumpkin with a quirky curly stem and fragrant eucalyptus are a perfect pair for our simple place settings.

So, hit up your grocery store or your local farmers market and grab the following supplies:

Mini Pumpkins – buy pumpkins with long stems so you have something to attach the eucalyptus and tag to
Eucalyptus
Twine
Kraft paper tags
Alphabet stamps
Ink pad
Hot glue gun & glue sticks

And now, the oh-so-simple how to for these Eucalyptus Pumpkin Place Cards!

Plug in the hot glue gun and insert a glue stick.

While the glue gun is heating, wind a strand of the eucalyptus around the pumpkin stems and cut the eucalyptus to size.

Use hot glue to attach the eucalyptus to the bottom of the pumpkin stem. Wind the eucalyptus around the stem and attach it with another dollop of hot glue at the end of the pumpkin stem.

Once the eucalyptus is glued in place, use the alphabet stamps to stamps your guests’ names on the kraft paper tags. With a length of twine, tie the tags around the bottom of each pumpkin stem.

When you are ready to set your table, pull out the pretty napkins and center the Eucalyptus Pumpkin Place Cards on each plate. I love the whimsical stems and the fragrant eucalyptus that winds around them.
