Hi!  It’s Laura Kelly here sharing some crafty love with you.  I am honored and excited to be connecting with you on A Night Owl Blog and sharing this super fun Paint Chip Valentines Printable and Garland!

Valentine’s Day is such a fun time to spread love, cheer and happy.  These adorable little creations are so easy peasy to make and can be used in lots of ways.  I am currently addicted to creating garlands so they ended up below my mantle but they sure would be cute to pass out as Valentines Day cards or attached to gifts too.

It all started with some random supplies I gathered up from around my studio.  I have baskets and buckets and drawers filled with things that I have collected over the years and sometimes it is fun to dig around and see what I find.  It is like finding treasures sometimes.

After a little cutting and glueing, this is what I had on the table.  I was kind of loving it and thinking about all the ways these little fun characters could be used to celebrate.

I decided to create a printable to give them a little additional aspect of love.  It says ‘I love hue’ and you can download it here.

I especially am in love with this girl.  Her skirt made from the tri-colored chip makes me giggle.  I named her Wild Pinkster.

To make them, you will need the following…

  • Paint Chips
  • Aleene’s Always Ready Fast Grab (works great with buttons)
  • Buttons (I used ones from my BRIGHTS collection with Buttons Galore)
  • Googley Eyes
  • Permanent Marker
  • Scissors

Here’s a peak at my fireplace today.  It is on a keeping things warm.  It was 7 degrees when I took the kiddos to school today so I am pretty thankful for it being in my studio space.

Happy creating fun, love and friendship.  If you make some paint chip creations, be sure to share them.  We would love to see what you come up with.

Cheers,

Laura Kelly
