A Halloween Mantel

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing with you our updated faux mantel for Halloween. This mantel is equipped with a spooky candelabra,  spiders and webs! It also includes the DIY Halloween Chalkboard Signs I shared with you just a couple of weeks ago!

Now as I said, I’ve had the signs completed for a couple of weeks now, but I needed something for the top shelf of our faux mantel. I found this perfectly spooky candelabra at Ross for just $9.99 that I knew would finish off the spooky Victorian vibe I was going for. I wanted some tall candles for the candelabra that weren’t too heavy, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. So I made some of my own! I just grabbed a set of styrofoam rods from Hobby Lobby that were the perfect size! I cut them down to the length that I wanted and covered them with Mod Podge and tissue paper to give them a smoother finish. I then poked a hole at the top and cut small lengths of white rope to use as wicks. I think they turned out perfect!

And here is the finished product…

What do you think? Have you finished decorating for Halloween?
