{Project Home} An Instagram Mantel

Well, it’s about time that I updated my mantel. If I’m completely honest with you, I still had the decor from the 4th of July still up. Until this weekend. Until I was finally inspired to update it when I received a beautiful print from the ladies behind Well Said. You can check out this lovely “Life is” print on Etsy and stay tuned for information as to how you can win your own 8×10 print from Well Said!

So I paired the “Life is” printย with my fun Holga camera on two little boxes I picked up from Hobby Lobby. Then on the second shelf I took added a topiary upcycle and twine “S” from my Easter Mantel, and a frame that I picked up a few months ago from Goodwill. I simply added two rows of twine and used small clothespins to hang a few of my favorite Instagram pictures!

So how do you think it turned out? I really enjoy it, first that my mantel is updated, but also that it’s something that is versatile. I can see updating the pictures here and there to keep it fresh. And it all started with inspiration from a Well Said print.

    1. Hi Ruthie! I printed out a sheet of them on matte photo paper. We have a Canon printer so it does great with pics! Then I cut out the squares.

  1. You know, I have a holga too. But I can’t find the film. I know I can get it online, but it’s super duper expensive! I will just have to do something like this!!! I need that print in my life!!!

    1. Hi Laura! There are many ways you can print Instagrams, through applications like PostalPix or Prinstagram, but here I downloaded the pictures on to my computer (which you can do from your phone) or go to a web interface for IG like webstagram and save them. I then simply inserted them into PowerPoint, printed the page, and cut them out.

  2. What a great idea!!! I love it! Canon printers are the way to go!!
