Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pumpkins
I love all of the dollar store pumpkin makeovers I’ve been seeing across blogland! And today I have another one to add to the line-up: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pumpkins! Have you heard of Annie Sloan? I’ve been wanting to use her chalk paint on many different projects for some time now, and I finally made a couple of trips to Green Table Gifts (thanks to the tip Liz from Blue Eyed Owl) to pick up the paint and the sought after clear wax. Now I do have some furniture projects in mind, but I thought it would be fun to get a little practice in with these pumpkins. And honestly, the pumpkins look 150% better white, where I have them up in the house! And here’s how they turned out.
So, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pumpkins – what do you think? It was a great starter project and the pumpkins I can use for YEARS with their neutral coloring. I can’t wait to use this paint on so many more projects. You’ve been warned!

Very Nice idea, it looks so wonderful and bright. Very cool product the was paint! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
can you get this paint at hobby lobby? My mom and I were wanting to buy some white pumpkins but the VERY FEW we cound were too expensive….we can just paint them, DUH! Can’t wait to try this – if I can find the paint.
Soo cute and easy. My kind of project:) Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jen!
I’m glad to see there are endless uses for ASCP because it’s so dang expensive. I want to take the plunge but I’ve been hesitant. This little project is soo cute:)
I agree, Carissa, it can be pricey. Which is why I wanted to start small and get a feel for it. This project really didn’t take much paint at all too!
those are AWESOME!! I think I’m in need of some chalkboard white paint! 🙂
They look fabulous in white! Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional!
Love your pumpkins! I hope you’ll link up to my Wickedly Creative Halloween Ideas Party (fall ideas too) if you haven’t already.

I’m loving these too!! I actually just got back from our Dollar Tree and I picked two of them up and I might have to go back for more if these two turn out like I am hoping.
Right, Kelsey? I bought a few to play around with. I love how these two turned out and they’re already on display! Can’t wait to see what you do with them!
I used dollar tree pumpkins too. Perfect for painting up 😉 Thanks for linking with us for Primp your Pumpkin!
Aren’t they so fun Shannon? I have more…I’ll likely make those over for Halloween! Love the party!
Brilliant !
Oooh, I’m glad you got some. I love this idea. I’m picky about my holiday decor. I like the colors to match my regular decor. This is a great way to get pumpkins in any color you want!
AWESOME AND SO CUTE! I so want to try that paint, I have heard great things about it. Thanks for the link up. Hugs, jen
Oh Jen you must try it! So far I think it’s fabulous; I’m ready to take on bigger projects!
These pumpkins are so cute! I love them. I would love if you would share them (and some of your other projects) over at my link party:

Great job! My weekly linky party–One Creative Weekend–has gone spooky this week in honor of my thirteenth party. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll visit “One Creative Weekend” on OneCreativeMommy.com (open every Fri-Wed) and link up this idea and anything else you’d like to share. (You can include non-Halloween posts as well, but feel free to link up as many Halloween-themed posts as you like.) There are two categories—one for Halloween and one for everything else.
This is definitely a craft I can make! 😀
