Hi friends! Do you have little ones in your home? What are there favorite shows? I know for my boys, especially my little one Adrian, we love us some Disney Junior! It’s become a favorite routine in the mornings for me to grab my coffee, sit and spend time with Adrian watching his favorite Disney Junior shows. Now he’s a big fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mickey and the Roadster Racers, but there’s a NEW show that has caught his attention recently – Puppy Dog Pals!

In Puppy Dog Pals, fun-loving pug brothers Bingo and Rolly have thrill-seeking appetites that take them on exhilarating adventures in their neighborhood and around the globe. The show is a perfect fit for our family and our boys because we have a beloved puppy of our own AND a house full of brothers. And it doesn’t hurt that momma has a love of travel so I enjoy watching what adventures Bingo and Rolly get into as well.

Now that summer has hit, we’ve added Adrian’s brothers into our morning routine. And I thought it would be a fun to whip up a special treat for our daily Puppy Dog Pals viewing! And what better snack for Puppy Dog Pals than some Puppy Chow Snack Mix!

Now you’re probably familiar with Puppy Chow, but since it’s such a sweet treat, we’ve created a snack mix that helps balance some of that sweetness out for a more well rounded snack. First we started with a simple Puppy Chow recipe of rice checkered cereal, butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips, vanilla and powdered sugar. Once the Puppy Chow was made, I gathered the ingredients for the Puppy Chow Snack Mix! You just need the Puppy Chow, more rice checkered cereal, pretzels, peanuts and chocolate candies.

Then add a little of each to a large bowl and toss!

So easy, fun and let me tell you – tasty! And while the Puppy Chow Snack Mix would be a great treat in and of itself, I couldn’t help but craft up a little more fun for the boys with these Puppy Dog Pals snack cups!

All you need to craft up these Bingo and Rolly cups are standard sized treat cups, colored card stock, googly eyes, a black marker, scissors and craft glue.

If you’re not comfortable creating your own cups from scratch, I created this simple template you can print out as a guide. I simply cut out gray and tan cardstock perfect for Bingo and Rolly’s fur and covered the white snack cup. Then I cut out a mouth, ears and some white circles to go behind the googly eyes. I added a nose and mouth with a black marker and the pieces were ready to be added to the cups!

It was such a fun morning with my boys! I’m looking forward to a summer full of mornings like these. And lucky for us, there are NEW Puppy Dog Pals episodes almost every “FRiYAY” morning! New episodes premiere on the Disney Channel first between 6am and 10am. Be sure to tune into the next new episode on, June 16th “Their Royal Pugness.”

When Bob says his mom’s coming to dinner and he wants the Pugs to “treat her like a queen,” Bingo and Rolly head to England to learn how a queen is actually treated.

How sweet is that? I know I’m looking forward to the time with my boys and perhaps we’ll have to do another Puppy Chow Snack Mix to celebrate! I hope you’ll join us and tell us what you think about the new show. You’re going to love it!

  1. These are super cute and look fun to make and eat (I love pugs and Disney and yummy easy snacks for kids). Beautiful photos. Just remind kids not to share with real puppies as chocolate is bad for them.

  2. I love these! Making them for my sons birthday party. Where did you find the googly eyes? Can’t seem to find them colored like these. Thanks!

      1. Hello. I tried searching at Michaels but no luck. I am going to try looking at another store. Was size googly eyes did you use?
