Perler Beads
What are perler beads, you may ask? Perler beads (also known as melty beads, hama beads and fuse beads) are colorful beads usually arranged on plastic pegboards to form patterns and then fused together with an iron. They can also be strung into necklaces, woven into keychains, or even assembled into three-dimensional decors. Today we’re showing you how to create adorable St. Patrick’s Day patterns using perler beads and our printable perler pattern.

How to Make St. Patrick’s Day Perler Beads
1. Print out your St. Patrick’s Day Perler Bead Pattern at 100% and arrange your pegboard on top of the pattern.
2. Follow the pattern to add Perler beads to the pegboard, creating a rainbow, pot of gold and more.
3. Once your desired bead pattern is finished, carefully place a piece of ironing paper over top the beads and iron (no water or steam) for several seconds or until you can see the beads start to fuse together.
4. Remove the iron and carefully pull the paper back off the pegboard (careful this will be hot) and peel the beads off the paper and immediately press flat with your pegboard.
Supplies Used to make this Project:
- Xerox Laser Printer: I invested in this printer for printables and projects just like these! The toner lasts a long time and produces great paper products.
- Perler Bead Pegboards: I love this set, all the pegboards you need for a ton of Perler bead projects
- Perler Beads: This is the set we purchased when starting out with Perler beads and it’s always had everything we’ve needed for all of our fun projects.
