DIY Teacup Candles

Make these DIY Teacup Candles with just a few supplies! Would make great home decor or a thoughtful gift!
Hi friends! Last week we celebrated our love for Cost Plus World Market and Downton Abbey with the virtual #DoTheDownton Downton Abbey Tea Party with World Market! Where you there? It was such a fun and exciting time, hopping around various forms of social media and enjoying high tea together! I had a few friends over to my place and we enjoyed shorbread and tea and many other goodies from World Market, BUT before I get into all that (because I will be sharing ALL about our party later), I wanted to share with you this SWEET little project we did during the party, these DIY Teacup Candles with teacups from World Market!

What you’ll need:

  • Teacups
  • Wicks
  • Candle wax
  • Double boiler
  • Thermometer
  • Glue/glue gun

And the steps:

  1. Simply hot glue the candle wick to the bottom of the inside of the teacup.
  2. Heat your candle wax according to instructions (in double boiler, to temperature specified).
  3. Once ready, pour the hot candle wax into the teacup and let stand until solidified.

It really is THAT easy! I bought a little kit from my local craft store, with a pitcher that served as my double boiler. It made the whole process much easier. We also added a bit of evergreen scent to ours – perfect for the holiday season. But most craft stores will have different colors and scents you can use! But the result was just so cute and pretty, don’t you think? Our own little DIY Teacup Candles!

And of course we had to try them out…

Such a fun addition to your home decor! You could put one in your craft room or home office. Or it is just fitting near your coffee and tea area in your kitchen too! OR just think of what a sweet gift this would make as well. Pretty, dainty and personal! No matter what the use, it’s a fun little project I would encourage you to try! Of course, you must check out the full line of World Market Teacups and Mugs – that’s where the inspiration starts!
DON’T FORGET! You can still enter to WIN big with the World Market Downton Abbey Sweepstakes!
