Pumpkin Pie Kids Craft

Hi A Night Owl friends! It’s Stacey from Glued To My Crafts again. Now that Halloween is long gone from our memory, it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving – right? One of my favorite things to make {and eat} on Thanksgiving is Pumpkin Pie. {YUM – so delicious!} So it was only fitting that my son and I make a Pumpkin Pie Kids Craft in honor of the delicious dessert. With just some tissue paper, a paper plate and tons of glue – you too can make it with your child today. Best part is it’s calorie free and you “make” it over & over again – on the fly & cheap!

Directions:

  • First cut your orange tissue paper into squares.
  • Next cut your paper plate to resemble a pie slice.
  • Now put a good layer of glue all over the paper plate piece. Have your child cover the piece completely with the cut up tissue paper.
  • While they are working on that, cut some squares out of your brown cardstock. This will be the “crust” of the pie.
  • Once your child is done completely covering the paper plate, staple the squares along the edge where the pie crust would be.
  • To finish off the pumpkin pie, have your child glue their two cotton balls in the center of the pie slice. {because every pie needs whipped cream!}

And voila, the cutest little Pumpkin Pie Kids Craft you ever did see! Super fun, right? And of course you can change out the color of the tissue paper to reflect other pie flavors {red for apple pie or green for key lime pie} I just hope you have fun with it!

I also have a few more pie-tastic crafts coming up on my blog {so be sure to check it out daily} but for now, if you are looking for more Thanksgiving inspired kid crafts, check out our Paper Plate Turkey, Handprint Turkey Cards and Apple Pie Sensory Bin.
