Martha Stewart Living - March Issue Crafts
Hi friends! Do you get Martha Stewart Living Magazine? If you don’t, you’re missing out! Martha Stewart Living is one of my favorite publications, and I have a monthly subscription that inspires and helps to foster my creativity. Today I’m sharing some amazing crafts from the March issue that is on newsstands now! If you love what you see, be sure to go out and grab your own copy or snag your own subscription. You won’t be disappointed!
First up, there is an amazing piece on American Gems. Did you know that the United State is home to vast deposits of gems? This month crafts editor Hannah Milman shows us how to take these gems and craft them into precious jewelry!

Now being from Arizona I’m a big fan of turquoise! But there are so many gems here that would make gorgeous jewelry. Here are a few ideas…

So simple, but just so beautiful, don’t you think? I could definitely see adding these pieces to my jewelry box.
Also this month in Martha Stewart Living, crafts editor Jodi Levine shows us how a few yards of cord, ribbon and fabric-store trim are all you need to make gorgeous jewelry and statement pieces!

Such a creative use of beautiful ribbons and cords don’t you think? Do you have trimmings like this in your craft stash? Now you know how to put them to good use!
And the final craft I’m sharing with you are these Travel-Keepsake Kits. If you’re like me, after every vacation you have the best intentions of making a scrapbook but never get around to the sorting, designing, and gluing! So why not try a wooden keepsake box instead?

I absolutely adore this idea. I have boxes full of memorabilia of trips that I’ve taken; even plastic scrapbook page protectors full of pages that I intended to make, but never quite got around to it. These boxes would be simple to craft and when put on display, would give justice to those memories that are currently stowed away.
So are you feeling inspired? I know I am, and I have a few more projects to add to my list thanks to Martha Stewart Living! What is on your craft list this month?

  1. Wow amazing inspiration, those gems are so beautiful and Travel Keepsakes are AMAZING. Brilliant idea 🙂 my lift of crafts doesn’t match my sparetime, but hey I think we’re all in the same boat 🙂 have a great week

    1. Haha, we ARE in the same boat! But I think I’ll be able to make time for these boxes over trying to scrapbook past trips. Let me know if you do something similar! 😉 xo

  2. I love Martha Stewart magazine. They have wonderful ideas, but again, it is Martha Stewart so you kind of expect that. Great ideas!! Love the memory boxes!!

    1. Same here Melody! I was able to do some traveling before kids and all the keepsakes are stowed away – this would definitely help me to better cherish those memories!

  3. I do miss getting the Martha Stewart zine along with several others I used to subscribe to. When the economy went crazy I had to let several of the subscriptions run out.I miss them but do get alot of what I used to read online. I liked it when Martha Stewart zine used to have the clip art for projects. Not every body has a pc they can print things out. Plus the ink is so ridiculous. Just so much to print out on those little bitty cartridges. I could go thru 3 or 4 sets every month.

  4. Where did you find that size box? They are adorable? I’m leaving for London, Paris, Belgium and Portugal in April and would love to make these boxes now, so I could have something to put all my memories in.
